Description
The Visual and Performing Arts Department at Sussex County Community College (SCCC) presents the Fall Play, "12 Angry Jurors” adapted by Sherman L. Sergel at the college's Performing Arts Center, located at One College Hill Road, Newton, NJ.
“12 Angry Jurors” is a compelling drama about a jury that must decide whether a young man is guilty of murdering his father. The jury votes 11-1 that the man is guilty of the crime, but laws in the United States require a unanimous vote by all 12 jurors in order to pass judgment. Tempers flare as the eleven jurors try their best to convince the 1 dissenter to come around to their side “Twelve Angry Jurors” is a heightened courtroom thriller that puts you on the edge of your seat, while powerfully exploring what it means to live in a democracy.
Show dates for “12 Angry Jurors” are Thursday, November 14 at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, November 15 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, November 16 at 2 p.m.; Friday, November 22 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, November 23 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The Ensemble Cast will be on stage for 90 minutes.
