This presentation celebrates the remarkable life of Miriam Leslie, also known as Frank Leslie, who revolutionized journalism and played a crucial role in the women’s suffrage movement. It will explore how she used her inherited publishing empire, including a $2 million donation to Carrie Chapman Catt, to support the suffrage cause, while also highlighting her personal and social transformations in Saratoga Springs, her rise to prominence through groundbreaking journalism, and her lasting legacy in securing the 19th Amendment.
