2023 Concordia Keyboard Day Festival and Scholarship Adjudication
Concordia University Irvine
Dr. Tom Mueller and Dr. Hyunjoo Choi, co-directors
For the past eight years, Concordia Keyboard Day has supported and celebrated the musical achievements of young pianists from across Southern California. This year, we are pleased to return to an in-person format for this event. On Saturday, March 25, students, families, and teachers will have the opportunity to join members of Concordia’s award-winning music faculty for a day of workshops, masterclasses, and scholarship adjudications.
Age requirements:
Workshops and masterclass attendance - 9-19 years old
Scholarship adjudication participation: 12-19 years old
Participation in the scholarship adjudications is not required; students may elect to register only for the workshops and masterclasses if desired. Please click here for repertoire guidelines. Top students in each division will receive small cash prizes to support their musical studies.
Scholarship audition participants will receive adjudication notes from our keyboard faculty, and division winners will receive scholarships to support their private music study. In addition to a piano masterclass, attendees will participate in workshops on eurhythmics, audition and performance preparation, historical instruments such as the harpsichord and organ, and much more!
A $40 registration fee is required for student participants; registration for parents, family members, and teachers is free. Registration will remain open through Sunday, March 10.
