After Midnight - Conceived by Jack VIertel
Welcome back to that electrifying time when the Cotton Club was the place to be! After Midnight celebrates the glamour and exuberance of Harlem’s Golden Age and Duke Ellington’s years at the famed club. The timeless songs of Ellington, Harold Arlen, Cab Calloway, and their contemporaries are as explosively entertaining as ever in this evening of high-adrenaline song and dance numbers, woven together by the prose of Langston Hughes.
The Kinder HSPVA Black History All-School Production features student performers, designers, technicians, and musicians from all six art departments: Creative Writing, Dance, Instrumental Music, Theatre, Visual Arts, and Vocal Music. Don't miss this truly all-school collaborative production!
Audience Advisory: This production contains synthetic fog and flashing lights.
