HISTORY OF THE FDGD POLAR PLUNGE:
Grandson Trygve Bauge of Grandpa Bredo "the guy on ice" was big into the polar plunge and the healing aspects of sitting in cold water. "Norwegian Trygve Bauge founded the Boulder Polar Bear Club and started this annual cold-water swim 19 years ago. Bauge no longer lives in the United States, but friends and club members have continued the club and the traditional swim." This beloved (and very cold!) Frozen Dead Guy Days event continues on in Estes Park for 2024. Teams or individuals will canon ball in to the duck pond at Coffee on the Rocks. Costumes are welcomed and encouraged!
