The Sooke Fine Arts Society is a not-for-profit organization created to encourage and promote a greater understanding and appreciation for the arts by organizing an annual art show, as well as hosting public learning opportunities to demonstrate artistic technique and expertise. The annual art show, held at the end of July and early August of each year, is Vancouver Island’s premier adjudicated art show. It brings artists, volunteers, visitors, and art patrons together in an 10-day celebration of the arts.
Description
Celebrating its 38th anniversary in 2024, the Sooke Fine Arts Show is Vancouver Island’s longest-running juried fine art show and the region’s premier summer arts event. The 10-day art show and sale transforms the local SEAPARC arena into a stunning, 17,000-square-foot gallery in Sooke, BC. 375 works of original island art will be on display, and will be accompanied by activities for kids, youth and seniors. Visitors can also enjoy daily artist demonstrations, talks, guided tours, live music, and a gift shop. For more information, please see sookefinearts.com.
