Class dates: 3/2, 3/9, 3/16, 3/23, 3/30
To qualify for the intermediate class you must have a solid grasp of the fundamentals - centering your clay should feel intuitive and you can throw a consistent cylinder with even wall thickness. A good rule of thumb is that you can comfortably throw a tall, straight-sided cylinder in just a few minutes. This class is not for beginners.
Classes are every Thursday from 6-8:30PM for 5 weeks, Includes 2.5 hours of hands-on instruction, use of community tools, clay, and 2 finished pieces* each. Keep additional pieces* for $10 each. (*10 inches tall or wide, whichever is larger).
About your teacher
Alex has been doing pottery for almost 10 years - he started with wheel throwing, then transitioned into handbuilding, and now finds new ways to alter and incorporate both styles. Alex most recently taught our Intermediate Pottery Class.
Please note that classes are non-refundable 1 week before the first class begins. Pieces are usually ready to be picked up 4 weeks after the final class. While there are no guarantees in ceramics, most students do end up with 2 or more pieces at the end of the course.

Oops, I purchased the wrong class! Can I switch?
Unfortunately, we are limited by physical space. Our classes fill quickly and we don't have the ability to change once the class roster has been filled. We may be able to refund you and open the class space up to another person.
I had a scheduling issue after signing up!
Within a week of the class start date, we can no longer offer any refunds or changes. Very occasionally, we can switch you to a different class, though it is not common or guaranteed.
What happens if I miss a class?
We highly recommend signing up for a class in which you can attend all the sessions. However, if you know you will miss one, please try to make it to the 1st and 5th week of your class. If schedule and space allow, we may be able to fit you in to a different day/time for the one class you will miss, though it is not common or guaranteed.
