Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada will host the 8th International Conference on Social Role Valorization (SRV).
SRV, and its predecessor, Normalization, have been very powerful in helping disadvantaged and socially devalued populations, such as disabled persons and elders, to live better by attaining the good things of life we all desire. SRV is taught in workshops to professionals, families and consumers, at many post secondary institutions and is incorporated into the policies and practices of many service organizations and governing bodies.
This conference is an exciting opportunity to meet and hear from people from all over, who are using SRV to support disadvantaged, devalued and disabled people to create better lives for themselves.
