Join us for the 9th Annual Saengerbund Awards, sponsored by The Houston Saengerbund.

Five finalists will compete - in concert - for a top prize of $5,000, presenting various works from opera, oratorio, German Lieder, cabaret, and musical theatre.  The event is professionally judged by industry professionals including coaches, casting directors, and conductors from the Metropolitan Opera, Santa Fe Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, Houston Grand Opera, as well as leaders from other regional symphonies and opera companies.

The competition is very strong with past winners having gone on to appear with major companies throughout the USA and Europe, including the Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Staatstheater Nürnberg, our very own Houston Grand Opera, and at Carnegie Hall.

Admission also includes light refreshments during intermission.
