Description

"Dege Legg aka Brother Dege was Louisianas best kept secret. For the past 6 years we've been working on a documentary about his music and the impressive personality behind it. Dege was an artist through and through. His biggest hit was probably 'Too old to die young', also noticed by Quentin Tarantino who used it in his hit 'Django Unchained'."

Dege passed away on March 8th, 2024.

American premier of Lucas Fiederling's lovingly made documentary (running time approx 55 min)

Doors at 7pm

Screening begins 8pm followed by director Q&A.  Post film, stay for a performance by Dege's band

(Concessions window will be open to provide all your movie night

  • The showtime listed for the event is the time the event starts. Doors will generally open an hour before the listed show time unless otherwise listed.
      We allow pets during the day, but not at night for music (anything after 7pm). Service animals are always allowed.
     
  •  Please do not park in the Broad Theater parking lot. We have a parking lot for  The Broadside and plenty street parking available on Toulouse and Lafitte. If you would like to be escorted to your car, please ask the Sheriff on duty. You may also park in the Auto Zone parking lot if they are closed. 
  •  We have a variety of seating options such as benches, picnic tables, chairs, and stools. You are welcome to bring your own chairs, if you require a seat for health reasons or disability, please ask a staff member and they can provide you with a chair.
