Description
Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream
Adapted and Directed by Andrea King
Theatre Charlotte presents Shakespeare’s most popular comedy outdoors at The Raptor Center at Latta Nature Preserve.
On a Midsummer’s night, four young lovers find themselves wrapped in the dream-like arms of an enchanted forest where sprites lurk and fairies rule. While a feuding Fairy King and Queen are at war, their paths are crossed by Bottom, Quince and their friends presenting a play within a play. Chief mischief-maker Puck is on-hand to ensure that the course of true love is anything but smooth, and games of fantasy, love and dreams ensue in Shakespeare’s most beguiling comedy.
We are so excited to offer our audiences an "after hours" chance to take a walk on the wild side to visit eagles, vultures, hawks, and falcons before settling in for the show. In partnership with The Raptor Center, guests will be able to arrive as early as 5:00pm to take self-guided tours of the Raptor Trail and picnic on the grounds. An email will be sent to ticket buyers with an option to order a picnic dinner from Jason's Deli.
