2000 Northwest Market StreetLearn the art of painting people! In this two-part workshop, you'll use acrylic paints to create two portraits from photo reference. Maxx FG will teach you how to bring your subject to life with color and the art of the intentional brush stroke. There will also be focus on choosing the right brushes and underpainting.
Class takes place on Sunday and Monday, December 15 and 16, from 5-8 pm each day.
This class is a perfect next step for those looking to expand their painting skills with acrylic. Some experience with acrylic painting is suggested, but not required.
All materials are provided for this class. You are welcome to bring your own reference photos, but we will also have plenty available to choose from. Class is recommended for students ages 13 and up.
When asked what she paints, Maxx FG (she/her) always responds "people and plants". They're equally her favorite subjects. She's been studying humans and how to communicate their emotions through portrait work for as along as she could hold a crayon. She focuses her instruction on use of lighting & color and less on technical features.
