First Redeemer Church is located in Cumming, GA and has served North Atlanta for 27 years. Its purpose is to worship God and to help everyone know and follow Jesus Christ. Two weekly worship services feature worship bands as well as a 150-voice choir and 40-piece orchestra. Weekly Bible studies take place each Sunday and various other days throughout the week. Description
Bye Bye Birdie is a musical comedy set in 1958 about a fictional rock-and-roll star, Conrad Birdie, who is about to be drafted into the U.S. Army. To boost his popularity before leaving, his manager, Albert Peterson, and his secretary, Rosie, devise a plan to have Birdie give a farewell kiss to a randomly selected fan on national television. The chosen fan, a teenage girl named Kim MacAfee from Sweet Apple, Ohio, becomes the center of a media frenzy, causing tension and chaos in her small town. The play explores themes of fame, family dynamics, and the cultural impact of celebrity during the 1950s.
