Please join us for our second annual Adults with Intellectual Disabilities Fishing tournament! We are excited to have a good morning of fishing with everyone and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Charles D. Owen Park.
Participant check-in will begin at 9am near the footpath between the two ponds. Please look for our popup tent and friendly staff. For those who do not have their own fishing equipment, we will have equipment available to borrow for the day. Please let us know in your registration if you or one of your guests will need adaptive fishing equipment to accommodate physical disabilities that might hinder operating a fishing pole or reel.
The tournament will begin at 10am and fishing will end with everyone back at the registration tent by 12pm. Throughout the tournament we will have several staff roaming around to measure and radio in your catch to our record keeper. Please keep the fish in the water and wave over one of our staff to measure your catch. Once the fishing part of the tournament ends at 12pm, we will then announce prize winners for categories such as longest fish caught, shortest fish caught, and most fish caught, etc. We will also be grilling burgers for everyone!
