Event Details

Anal play 101 is a welcoming educational and fun virtual workshop that is inclusive to all sexualities and genders expressions. Attendees will learn anatomy of pleasure, communication for inside and outside of the bedroom, tools and toys including lube suggestions and how to get yourself or a partner ready to explore that area.

 

About the Presenter

Carolanne Marcantonio is an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist (CST) in Brooklyn, NY and cocreator of Wise Sex Therapy Associates. WSTA is a LGBTQIA+, kink, and poly affirmative therapy practice. Carolanne provides therapy to individuals, couples and polycules. She earned her Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College in Manhattan, and has worked for more than 14 years as a sexual health educator. Prior to working in a private practice, she co-facilitated support groups at the at the LGBT Center in Manhattan, such as Commit to Quit, a smoking cessation group, and Positive Care, a support group for gay, bi, and trans men newly diagnosed with HIV.

 

Carolanne worked at Babeland, a sex-positive, education-based, unionized, sex toy shop, for six years. She created workshops and led classes on sexual health at numerous colleges and agencies, including Cornell University, SUNY Downstate Medical College, Hofstra University, the Job Path’s Sexual Health Conference hosted at The New York Times Building, and Callen-Lorde’s Sexual Health Conference.

 

Growing up in the subculture of punk, she learned at a young age the importance of honoring your sexual being in order to embrace your full body and mind health. She believes strongly in feminism, sexual empowerment, sex positivity and LGBTQIA+ equality.
