EVENT  RULES AND GUIDELINES

FEMALE BARBER BATTLE: ( THIS CATEGORY IS VERY RARE AND WE ARE EXCITED ABOUT THIS DIVISION )
1) MUST CUT HAIR IN A 45 MINUTE TIME FRAME.
2) FEMALE BARBERS ONLY THIS CATEGORY RULES ARE THE SAME AS THE FREESTYLE CATEGORY RULES. CHECK ALL THAT APPLIES.

FREESTYLE BARBER BATTLE:
1) MODELS CAN BE PRE DYED / COLORED BEFORE HAIRSTYLE IS CUT.
2) BARBERS MAY USE HAIR COLOR SPRAY AND OR COLORED HAIR PENCILS, GLITTER SPRAY ETC.
3) MUST CUT HAIR IN A 60 MINUTE TIME FRAME.

STUDENT BARBER BATTLE:
1) THIS CATEGORY RULES ARE THE SAME AS THE TRADITIONAL CATEGORY RULES. CHECK ALL THAT APPLIES.

TRADITIONAL BARBER BATTLE:
1) BARBER MUST HAVE ONE UNCUT MODEL EITHER MALE OR FEMALE.
2) MUST CUT HAIR IN A 45 MINUTE TIME FRAME. 
3) NO PRE LINES STYLE, COLOR OR FREESTYLE DESIGNS.

SNEAKER TOTAL LOOK BATTLE:
1) ALL CONTESTANTS MUST HAVE A PRECUT HAIRSTYLE THAT COMPLIMENTS THE SNEAKER OF THEIR CHOICE.
2) ALL CONTESTANTS MUST WEAR CLOTHING THAT REPRESENTS THE TOTAL LOOK.
3) MODELS WILL WALK THE RUNWAY AND HAIRCUT WILL BE PREJUDGED BEFORE COMPETITION STARTS.
4) THE HAIRCUT STYLE IS THE SAME AS THE FREESTYLE CATEGORY ANYTHING GOES!
THE SNEAKER BATTLE TOTAL LOOK IS A CATEGORY THAT TAKES THE COMPETITION TO ANOTHER LEVEL. IT SHOULD BE WELL THOUGHT OUT.
 
ADDITIONAL BARBER BATTLE RULES:
1) NO HAIR CAN BE LEFT ON NECK OR FACE.
2) IF MODEL HAS FACIAL HAIR THAT AREA MAY BE TRIMMED  AND CUT TO COMPLETE TOTAL LOOK.
3) ALL MODELS MUST BE DRAPED AND HAVE NECK STRIP. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN A TEN POINT DEDUCTION FROM TOTAL SCORE.
4) ALL BARBERS MUST PROVIDE ANY EXTRA EXTENSION CORDS, POWER STRIPS, BARBER CAPES, DUSTER, ETC.
5) THERE WILL BE NO TAG TEAMING. ONLY ONE BARBER PER CATEGORY.
6) BARBERS CAN ENTER IN WHATEVER CATEGORY DESIRED. 
7) ONLY FEMALE BARBERS FOR FEMALE CATEGORY.
8) ALL OTHER CATEGORIES INCLUDING STUDENT IS OPEN GENDER.
9) STUDENT MUST SO PROOF OF CURRENT SCHOOL ATTENDING.
10) ALL BARBERS WILL HAVE A SET UP AND BREAKDOWN TIME BEFORE AND AFTER TO CLEAN UP BEFORE NEXT EVENT.
11) CASH PRIZES AND TROPHIES WILL BE AWARDED AT THE END OF EACH CATEGORY AS THE JUDGES DELIBERATE THE WINNERS.
12) COMPETITORS HAVE THE OPTION OF PAYING ENTRY FEE IN ADVANCE TO SECURE SLOT OR THE DAY OF EVENT AT REGISTRATION CHECK IN. DAY OF ENTRY FEE $60
THIS SHOW IS UNDER THE PROFESSIONAL SUPERVISION OF LICENSED PROFESSIONAL BARBERS, EDUCATORS PAST AND PRESENT COMPETITION WINNERS ONLY.
 
BY DAY BY NIGHT STYLIST BATTLE:
1) Stylist must prepare a female model with a hairstyle that is suitable for any woman and can be worn on any occasion.  The hairstyle should be a style that is versatile, can be worn to work, and/or while out doing daily duties.  The hairstyle must be maintainable itself whether day or night. 
2) By Night style can be the same look as By Day style, but should still be adequate for an evening social occasion. By Night style should captivate the style and elegance even if the individual changes their total look. 
3) Stylist must prepare By Day/By Night style on female model in 45 minutes.
4) Stylist must drape model and use own products during the competition.  Stylist must have their own curling, irons, hair sprays, power strip multi plug, and etc.  The Cut N’ Line company will however provide the main plug sections for stylists to plug into. 
5) There will a 10 min set-up time before the start of the competition and actual styling techniques begin.  The time clock will start at 3, 2, 1 count down so please BE READY!  The final countdown will start at 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and then the buzzer will sound.  At that time, the stylist MUST HAVE HANDS DOWN.  If any stylist is still touching the model, there will be an automatic disqualification of the stylist. NO EXCEPTIONS!
6) When the time is up, stylists must have the drape off of the model, and the model must remain seated for the final viewing from judges.
7) At the conclusion of the category, all models are required to walk the runway for the completion of the Hairstylist competition.
8) This event reserves all rights to revoke any and all prizes awarded if there is any display of bad sportsmanship and/or behavior.  Cut N’ Line adheres to maintain a professional environment, and will do all that is necessary in order to keep it that way. 
9) Trophies and Cash prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the category.
10) All competing contestants must promote and also be able to sell advance tickets.

JUDGES RULES AND GUIDELINES:
1) All judges are chosen by Cut N’ Line Barber Supply Company Board of Directors, with all respect to the industry for which it stands.  Cut N’ Lines reserves all rights to protect the professional barber and styling industry by involving those who are on the rise of expert styling credentials.
2) All judges chosen are licensed professionals and supportive. Judges may be approached after the competitions are done for the day to ask questions or voice concerns.
3) Judges will only judge the category for which they are licensed and practice themselves whether retired or active.
4) Judges must be able to walk the competition floor with a clipboard and maintain clear observation of the contestants.  Judges will judge according to hairstyle, cut, technique, color coordination, angles, levels, cleanness, and originality.
5) Judges must pay close attention to the detail and time management of the contestant.
6) There will not be any arguing or unprofessional behavior coming from any judge or contestant, on or off the floor.
7) There will not be any conflict of interest where the contestant will converse with a judge prior to competing.  There will be a short meeting held for all contestants before the competitions begin. At that time any questions or concerns may be voiced at that time.
8) Judges must communicate before and after every category to deliberate final scores before being given to the tally judge. 
9) Cut N’ Line reserves the right to override any unfair decision.  With all due respect to the judges, Cut N’ Line will be responsible for concerns raised regarding accusations about unfair treatment or conditions to our competitors.  Cut N’ Line and its Board of directors have the right to make final decisions in regards to the participants for this event and future events.
10)  Cut N’ Line greatly appreciates all of our judges, as you have allowed us the opportunity of working with you, and being a vital component at our event.  You are all legacy's in your own right, and your professional records speaks for itself. Thank you!

1) VENDORS MUST BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SET UP AND BREAKDOWN OF THE VENDOR SPACE PROVIDED.
2) WE WILL PROVIDE PAID VENDORS WITH ONE RECTANGLE TABLE AND TWO CHAIRS ONLY.
3) ADDITIONAL CHAIRS ARE $5.00 PER CHAIR.
4) ADDITIONAL TABLES ARE $25.00 PER TABLE
5) VENDORS CAN DISPLAY A PROFESSIONAL BANNER.
6) VENDOR IS ONLY ALLOWED ONE OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO SIT AT THE TABLE. ANY ADDITIONAL PERSONS MUST PURCHASE ADVANCE TICKET $15.00
7) VENDOR SET UP TIME WILL START @ 10 AM YOUR LOCATION ON THE SHOW FLOOR IS ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS NO EXCEPTIONS.
