Day One focuses on developing the three skills essential to lasting and satisfied partnerships: 1) managing and sharing emotions; 2) communicating effectively; and 3) healthy conflict. Dr. Seife and Rabbi Spratt interweave these skills with Jewish wisdom and spiritual reflection.
Day Two focuses on discussing key topics for premarital preparation, while practicing and refining the Day One skills. The topics include, but are not limited to: managing finances, spiritual practice, work-life balance, sustaining intimacy over time, and navigating boundaries with family. Rabbi Spratt and Dr. Seife provide hands-on support each step of the way to facilitate healthy communication during these important conversations.
Couples who have completed Dr. Seife's Before the Leap workshops in the past report feeling better able to handle conflict, better able to communicate effectively, and better prepared for their shared future. In addition to these new skills, couples leave with a binder full of personalized reference materials to support them in the years ahead.
