Get ready to experience the true spirit of Memphis theatre with Friends of George’s as we celebrate the past, present, and future of the iconic Evergreen Theatre! Since 2011, Evergreen has been more than just a stage—it’s our creative home, where we’ve shared 89 unforgettable shows filled with laughter, love, and a touch of glitter. Now, for our 90th performance, we’re taking you Behind the Curtain for a one-of-a-kind evening fundraiser with our incredible cast, crew, and community, giving you “backstage peek” to the spaces where the real magic happens.
What to Expect:
With 5 exclusive spaces open to explore, you’ll experience the theatre like never before. Here’s what we have in store:
- Two Full Bars & Champagne Area: Start with a bubbly toast, then enjoy the open bar serving up craft cocktails and fine wines.
- The Shots Station: Get in on a Friends of George’s tradition with pre-show shots and toasts alongside the cast!
- Gourmet Buffet: Indulge in a lavish buffet, set up in the middle rehearsal room, where you can savor delicious bites throughout the evening.
- Backstage Glamour: Enter the dressing room to see our queens painting, primping, and prepping for the night! You’ll get the chance to join the fun as a few “would-be stars” receive fabulous mini-makeovers.
- Two Dance Floors & Music Varieties: Hit the stage-turned-dance-floor with a live DJ playing high-energy beats, while the back room will have another vibe with its own music mix.
- Choreography Session: Swing by the back rehearsal room for a chance to learn some iconic moves with one of our choreographers!
- Theatre Memorabilia & Interactive Exhibits: Take in costumes, props, and multimedia displays that reveal our journey and celebrate the vibrant legacy of Evergreen.
- Le Grand Finale: At 9:00 PM, join us on stage for a landmark moment—our 90th performance on the Evergreen stage, where we honor our past and toast to our future!
Ticket Options:
- General Admission: $100 per person – Includes full access to all exhibits, gourmet buffet, open bar, and dance floor.
- Premium Packages:
- VIP Tickets: $150 – Enjoy premium seats in the 2nd and 3rd rows, with all access to the night’s festivities.
- Drag Star for a Night: $250 (2 spots available) – Be part of the action! Let our team transform you and join us on stage for the grand finale.
- Sponsorships: $400-$1000 – Experience the show from the best seats with personalized service, plus some packages include on-stage seating!
