Description
During the Bertie Historical Society's regular monthly meeting, John B. Lee will speak about the subject of his book: "King Joe, A Matter of Treason". Joseph Willcocks, aka. King Joe, was killed during the Siege of Fort Erie in 1814, and was there as an American supporter. It will be a different perspective than what we regularly hear about Joseph Willcocks, namely those on the British side of the War of 1812. Author John B. Lee is best known as a poet and will be coming from Port Dover to talk about this topic.
