Description

Join us for an evening in celebration of You Gotta Eat:  Real-Life Strategies for Feeding Yourself When Cooking Feels Impossible, the outstanding new book by Margaret Eby, The Philadelphia Inquirer's deputy food editor and all-around great human! Margaret will be accompanied for a talk and Q&A by Kelsey McKinney (Normal Gossip, Defector.com).

You don't have a cookbook like this one—and you absolutely need it. Even when you can't even, you do have to eat, and Margaret has created the ultimate resource for making food happen in times like these. The book is packed with wisdom, empathy and humor, and this evening is sure to include much more of the same!

The talk will be held at Binding Agents (908 Christian St) and be followed by a signing.

Guests may choose a ticket with or without a copy of the book; prices are inclusive of fees. Tickets for this intimate event are non-refundable. Entrance to the shop requires one step up. Please contact us at hello@bindingagentsphilly.com with any questions or accessibility needs; we'd be happy to help.

About the Book

Delivery is expensive. Eating a spoonful of peanut butter is depressing. You can’t imagine having the energy to chop an onion. But somehow, you gotta eat. How does anyone feed themselves under these conditions? Enter You Gotta Eat, your new friendly, accessible resource for getting something on your plate when you have too much on your plate. Part cookbook, part pep talk, and part action plan, You Gotta Eat offers tips and tactics—plus ten “do exactly this” recipes—for making effortless food that’s nourishing, tasty, and even a little fun. Whether you’re burned-out, depressed, overscheduled, a new parent, living away from home for the first time, or some combination of the above, let food editor, classically trained chef, and nacho enthusiast Margaret Eby show you how to make your eating experience easier—and better—in every way.
