Binding Agents: A Cook/Book Shop
908 Christian StreetAhead of her sold-out cookbook club experience at Binding Agents, author Caroline Choe will be at the shop to sign copies of her amazing book, Banchan! We'll also hold a brief but zesty book chat at 5pm.
4-5pm - Drop-in signing. Reserve a book and a spot in the signing line by RSVPing; the cost of your $5 ticket will be applied to your book purchase on site. If you are bringing your own copy of Banchan to be signed, the cost of your ticket helps support the shop. Walk-ups will also be welcome while supplies last!
5pm - Book chat. This will be a fun, informal discussion with limited seating/primarily standing room. Open to all as space allows!
About the Book
Banchan, the shared side dishes that accompany a Korean meal, are often the real stars of the table, and it's time we celebrate them. This first-of-its-kind cookbook showcases the wide world of banchan, from traditional staples to modern Korean American renditions, with 60 recipes from the kitchen of chef Caroline Choe.

With tips on stocking a Korean American pantry and ideas for making banchan into a meal--add to a quiche, wrap in a kimbap, pile on a sandwich--Banchan shares an ancient and beloved feature of Korean cooking that will make every meal sing.
