Let’s face it, dating in Asheville sucks. If you’re single and somewhere in your late 20s to early 40s, you’ve probably been passed around town like a mostly-cashed bowl of Delta 8. The dating pool is teeming with some serious winners, from ketamine-addicted Phish fans (okay, patchouli) to podcast-promoting craft beer aficionados. Everyone sucks. We’re all going to die alone.
But, wait… what if there was hope? Blind Date Live! has found a way to remove the tragic swiping of #applife and the sheer awkwardness of “meeting someone organically,” setting real Asheville singles up with people they might actually want to see again. Come see for yourself as you watch real people fall in love onstage — sight unseen. And if they don’t hit it off, hey, there are plenty of Phish in the sea.
The inaugural show will take place on May 20th at Story Parlor, 227 Haywood Road. Tickets are $18/adv., $22/door and include entry to a 7pm pre-show mixer. If you are on the prowl, feel free to show up looking foxy, but we won’t implement a dress code because that would be weird. Doors at 7pm, show starts at 8pm.
