Join us for a night of jazz with the original members of the Blue Dragon Jazz Trio featuring Alex Czerny (piano), Delphina Dorrance (bass), and Russell Lundgren (drums). Joining them will be the very talented John Lundgren on sax.
About Blue Dragon Jazz Trio:
Featured pianist Alex Czerny really shines…from ballads that remind listeners of the beautiful trade winds of Hawaii, to explosive chops that come from the depths of volcanic Kilauea. Alex studied music at the “Hanns Eisler” conservatory in East Berlin and started competing internationally from the age of 8.
Bassist Delphina Dorrance, a long time Big Island resident, is well known throughout the musical community here from being the principal bassist of the Kamuela Philharmonic, to being a founding member of the Pau Hana Pickers-a well known Bluegrass band.
Russell Lundgren the youngest and founding member of the Trio, unites the band with his rhythmic propulsion and creative drum solos.
Doors at 5:30pm...show 6:30pm-9:30pm. Tickets are $10 in advance...$13 at the door (children 12 and under are free).
