Description
Switzerland based Capella Helvetica, makes their US permiere here in Cincinnati! This historically informed concert, performed on authenic period instruments, will feature music as it may have been performed by the Stadtpfeiffer, or town musicians, of 16th and 17th century Germany. This is a rare opportunity to hear the scholar-musicians Katharina Haun and Adam Bregman perform on Cornetto and Sackbut as they bring their virtuosity and historical insight gained over decades of historical performance in Europe. They will be joined on Sackbuts by Sean McGhee and Jocelyn Edgar.
Enjoy the music of Heinrich Isaac, Ludwig Senfl, Daniel Speer, Gottfried Reiche, Paul Hofhaimer and more as well as insights into the lives and times of the composers.
