Description
Rejoice School of Ballet is proud to present an original production of Carnival of the Animals, choreographed by Rejoice faculty member and Nashville Ballet company member Imani Sailers. Set to a score by French composer Camille Saint-Saëns, this ballet will combine classical and contemporary ballet techniques to explore the story of Arabella, a young woman on a quest through an enchanted forest. Along her journey, she faces challenges as she searches to find her way back home with the help of some charismatic woodland animal friends!
In addition to Carnival of the Animals, the program will also include another original ballet set to a beautiful symphony by Nigerian composer Fela Sowande. Performing to his African Suite for Strings, our dancers will get an opportunity to perform an abstract work that fuses classical and contemporary dance styles in an innovative way.
Covid-19 policy: In accordance with health and safety regulations for 4th Story Theater and Rejoice School of Ballet, all audience members, cast members, and crew must remain masked while inside the building.
