Kaitlin Konyn, a senior manager with Baker Tilly’s Real Estate Advisory Affordable Housing team, has been with the firm since 2015. She specializes in consulting with, and assisting developers apply for various sources of funds to build multifamily, affordable housing developments. She provides advisory services on real estate transactions that typically involve tax incentives such as Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC). Additionally, Kaitlin provides consulting to housing authorities and developers on the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) program from initial application to award to financing plan to RCC to closing. She has worked with 25 housing authorities on 20 RAD applications.
Maureen Carlson is the regional business development manager for Greenfire Management Services and has more than 25 years of experience. With nearly three decades of experience as a business development leader and growth specialist, she has a proven history of developing strategic partnerships with private and public entities, implementing marketing initiatives, and overseeing re-branding opportunities that further organizational goals and add to profitability. In her role with Greenfire, she is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients, and for identifying and pursuing potential opportunities covering the central and northern portions of Wisconsin. She most recently served as director of business development for a Wisconsin-based general contractor/construction management firm and during her tenure, helped increase sales by 500 percent. Prior to that she played an integral role in developing the integrated marketing department at the University of Wisconsin-Stout and founded and owned an economic development consulting firm partnering with dozens of clients including educational institutions, manufacturing groups, and city and village governments throughout the Chippewa Valley.
Melinda Osterberg is a Regional Economic Development Director for the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC). She helps communities and businesses in North Central Wisconsin thrive by accessing state and federal resources. For nearly two decades, Melinda has assisted Wisconsin communities with planning and economic development activities, including the management of broadband, school facilities, and comprehensive planning projects. The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) leads economic development efforts for the state by advancing and maximizing opportunities in Wisconsin for businesses, communities, and people to thrive in a globally competitive environment. Working with more than 600 regional and local partners, WEDC develops and delivers solutions representative of a highly responsive and coordinated economic development network.
Michael Hobbs is a dedicated professional with a diverse background in business ownership, government, and volunteer work. Michael Hobbs is a transplant from Oshkosh, WI. Michael and his wife Kim own Event City Design and The Cranberry Creamery; a personalized gift and artisan ice cream shop in Pittsville. Michael serves on the Pittsville City Council and is actively involved with multiple economic development organizations.
