A portion of the proceeds will support the work St. Anthony’s Kitchen is doing in Jamaica.
Established in 2017, St. Anthony’s Kitchen began as a soup kitchen dedicated to serving homeless adults. However, shortly after opening, staff noticed that children—many of whom should have been in school—were also seeking meals. Upon investigating, they discovered that these children were not merely skipping school; their families simply could not afford to send them.
In response, St. Anthony’s Kitchen expanded its mission, evolving into a vital community resource for underprivileged children and residents in need of nourishment. Today, the kitchen provides 100 hot lunches every weekday and serves breakfast to more than 80 children before they head to school. Additionally, the organization facilitates transportation for 60 students daily and supplies essential school items, including backpacks, uniforms, and learning materials.
Beyond supporting children, St. Anthony’s Kitchen extends its reach to the elderly and homebound, distributing monthly food supplies to 45 individuals through a parish-supported program. With its unwavering commitment to alleviating food insecurity and supporting education, St. Anthony’s Kitchen continues to be a pillar of hope for Jamaica’s most vulnerable populations.
