Join us for an evening of songs, poetry, dance and community care! Featuring: Irka Mateo, Taina Asili, BOMBAntillana, Yaneris Collado, Kaira Lopez + Angie Ruth! Hosted by A'dahi Baira and the Sabbatical Sisterhood Circle.
Hahom. Gratitude! After 20 years of much labor, love, mothering, organizing, collective care and community healing. I am in need of major, radical, restorative rest. Not easy to say or do as I am deeply committed to our collective liberatory work. In order to continue to do this work, I need a break. I am trusting and leaning into my community for support during this time.
There are many ways to support me through my GoFundMe, Sabbatical Swag and this fundraiser! Also, inviting your family or friends to the fundraiser would be greatly appreciated to share my work.
The funds I am raising will cover my rent, utilities, travel expenses, food, much needed new laptop and personal bills. The goal is $15,630!
My Sabbatical will be from Nov 2024 - March 2025 and I will also be caring for my Akutu/ grandmother during this time. Still not 100% resting, but resting from the collective work. I will share more details at the event!
