All instruments will compete in separate categories based on both instrument type and age. For instance, an 11-year-old violinist will compete within the 11-year-old violinist category.
Repertoire: Instruments : Free choice of one piece (Please edit your piece to ensure it finishes within the time limit.)
Division A, B, C, D : 5 mins limit
Division E, F, G, H, I, J , K : 6 mins limit
Voice: - Classical : One Art Song and One Operatic Aria - Musical Theater : Two Musical Theater Pieces
Awards:
First prize : Trophy + $200 scholarship to CUI Summer Chamber Music Festival, 2025 -(only for instrumentalists)
* For chamber ensembles, each member will receive a $200 scholarship for CUI Summer Chamber Music Camp, 2024 (only for instrumentalists )
Second prize : Trophy + $100 scholarship to CUI Summer Chamber Music Festival, 2025. (only for instrumentalists )

15-17 selected winners will have the opportunity to perform at the Top Honors Recital at Weill Carnegie Hall on July 26th, 2025 at 1pm, with an extra cost.
Winners from the high school and community college transfer divisions will receive a $1,000 scholarship upon enrolling in the Concordia University, Irvine
Complete Guidelines
Age is determined by the date of the competition, February 1st , 2025 The applicant has to submit a proof of age (a copy of driver’s license, birth certificate, etc.).
Ensemble category participants are entered by the age of the oldest student as of February 1st , 2025.
All participants must provide a copy of the score for the chosen piece to the judges at the time of the competition.
Each participant has to provide his/her own accompanist.
Participants may use the music.
The judges’ decisions are final.
All participants will receive the comments from judges.
All participants beside the winners will receive a certificate of participation.
All winners agree to allow their names, photographs and video files to be used in connection with the competition as publicity for Concordia Summer Chamber Music Festival.
Please note that only the contestants' teachers, family members, and friends are permitted to observe their performance.
