Creating Outstanding Opportunities Locally - COOL

 

THAT is what the COOL is about! So our wish for our 10th Birthday is to have a blast of a Birthday Bash with all our friends, donors, sponsors, alumni, and all other members of the community that make COOL so cool!

 

We'll have food, drinks, birthday games, and be celebrating our wonderful COOL family!

 

So come on down to The Broadside on November 9th at 6PM!

ABOUT COOL: 
In short, The COOL Cooperative provides a safe after-school space for New Orleans students from 6th grade through high school graduation. Our pipeline program offers food, fun, and education to middle school students, and as they grow and progress through the program, they likewise gain responsibilities and experience.

By the time our COOL Creators graduate high school, The COOL Cooperative will have offered them not only practical support like tutoring and individualized SAT lessons, but more specifically, they will have the confidence, skills, and connections necessary to secure well-paying jobs in the film industry.

FAQ

  • The showtime listed for the event is the time the event starts. Doors will generally open an hour before the listed show time unless otherwise listed.
      We allow pets during the day, but not at night for music (anything after 7pm). Service animals are always allowed.
  •  Please do not park in the Broad Theater parking lot. We have a parking lot for  The Broadside and plenty street parking available on Toulouse and Lafitte. If you would like to be escorted to your car, please ask the Sheriff on duty. You may also park in the Auto Zone parking lot if they are closed. 
  •   Our outdor space has a variety of seating options such as benches, picnic tables, chairs, and stools. You are welcome to bring your own chairs, if you require a seat for health reasons or disability, please ask a staff member and they can provide you with a chair.
