Share Portsmouth, UK - We are excited to announce our second Creative Discovery Summer School, a two-day event at Groundlings Theatre on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th August 2024.
You will have the opportunity to delve into three parallel workshops: in dance/movement, sound design, and video art. Renowned practitioners Yumino Seki (Butoh movement and dance), Kim Balouch (video art), and Rusty Sheriff (sound design) will lead the sessions. Each workshop will run three times: Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon, and Sunday morning.
Sunday afternoon features a collaborative scratch performance, integrating live sound, video projection, and improvised movement. This event is designed to inspire creativity and collaboration, welcoming participants of all experience levels.
Yumino Seki will also take the opportunity to introduce Butoh, a form of Japanese dance theatre focusing on the body’s transformative nature. Find out more about Butoh UK.
