Description

This event is for CRS members only. Learn more about membership at CRS here.

In this 90-minute trolley tour we’ll learn about the many Jewish families and individuals who chose Woodlawn as their final resting place, among them Arde Bulova, owner of the Bulova Watch Corporation, John D. Hertz, Founder of Hertz Auto Rentals, newspaper publisher Joseph Pulitzer, and attorney Samuel Untermyer.  We’ll also encounter those who choose Woodlawn because they partnered with non-Jewish spouses including composer Irving Berlin who wrote “God Bless America”, Conductor Josef Stransky who led the New York Philharmonic, and theatre producer Sam Harris. Transportation by private bus is included from CRS.

CRS Outings is made possible with generous support from Marcia and David Lavipour, and Maxine Schweitzer.
