Description
The show is called WE ARE HERE. The name was inspired by Alicia Keys song. Ukrainian youth will sing this song in the end of the performance, asking the whole world : WHY ARE WE HERE? This is not just a philosophical question. These children and teens have been outside their country for over 2 years now, getting used to a new culture and language, missing their fathers and friends. It is important for them to declare themselves loud and clear: WE ARE HERE. They matured early and experienced enormous traumas, but they are resilient, and they are talented. The show has everything - humor, parodies, rock music, classical duets, folk dancing and singing. There is something from each genre. Unpredictable and full of hope, WE ARE HERE!
Join us at 4:00pm on May 11th! Doors open at 3:30PM. Please consider donating to fund the participants' Summer Programming with CWS JC. Funding will be used for camper transportation, field trips, and college readiness sessions.
