Description

Due to the inclement weather forecast for Friday, Defying Gravity: The Music of Stephen Schwartz has been moved to the Rain Date of Saturday, August 10 at 6:30PM at Hill-Stead Museum.

Singers from CONCORA return to the Hill-Stead Museum for a concert of musical theater favorites.  This summer, we celebrate the extraordinary career of Stephen Schwartz, who has been composing hit musicals for more than half a century.  This hour-long program includes music from early shows such as Pippin and Godspell as well as the much more recent megahit Wicked.  Bring a picnic and a blanket and enjoy this wonderful music in one of the region's most beautiful settings!

This performance will take place on the West Lawn.  All tickets are general admission.
Please bring chairs or a blanket.  Picnics welcome!
Gates open at 6:00PM.
We strongly advise attendees to purchase tickets in advance.  Any available tickets sold at the gate will be by credit card only.
