Description
In this lecture, we explore the eerie landscape of the cyberpunk genre, outlining its roots, themes, and the unsettling visions it presents. From dystopian cityscapes to the fusion of man and machine, we examine how cyberpunk media reflects and critiques our relationship with technology, power structures, and society. Through a discussion on iconic works and emerging trends, we uncover the darker, more unsettling aspects of this genre, shedding light on its enduring relevance and impact on our perceptions of the future.
Our speaker for this lecture is Keith Fallows, who writes about horror from a mixed approach. Keith holds a B.A. in English from Neumann University and MFA in Creative Writing from Rosemont College. Currently Keith teaches as LaSalle University, Neumann University, and Northampton Community College.
