Come and join us for 'Dia de Muertos Celebration and Arts & Crafts' at Rainbow Play Cafe!

 

Day of the Dead (Dia de Muertos in Spanish) is a celebratory holiday to remember the dead. 

 

Explore the vibrant traditions, tasty sweet bread and hot coco, and everything that brings this day to life!

 

Families will learn more about this Mexican tradition and how to create their own ofrenda (Offerings) to honor their departed family members that have passed. 

 

Plus, they will be working on their own arts and crafts to decorate their altars with bright yellow flowers, photos of the departed, and the favorite foods and drinks of the one being honored. 

 

AGENDA:

• Story Time (both in English and Spanish) about Dia de Muertos
• Circle Time (songs and rhymes)
• Arts and Crafts:
  • Decorate your own 'Calaverita'
  • Work on your Dia de Muertos decoratios for your family altar
  • Materials are included with your admission

5:00PM - 6:00PM

• Open play
