Professor Richard Ellis CBE FRS is a professor of Astrophysics, whose groundbreaking research revolves around understanding the formation and evolution of galaxies, as well as the structure and contents of the universe. Currently he is working on First Light Group, which aims to examine how early galaxies contributed to driving cosmic ionisation.
