IT ALL STARTED WITH $600.
Our father and grandfather, L.G. Colyer, borrowed that sum to buy a farm in south-central Kentucky where 700 lavender plants now grow. During the Great Depression, he did not have the means to make the payments on his loan, so he traveled by train to Detroit to work for two years. The money he sent home to Kentucky would save this land and begin Woodstock Lavender Company’s legacy.
Today on the farm, we infuse our love of agriculture, our love of family and our love of our land into a rejuvenating home, body and kitchen product line. Responsibly sourced, authentic and effective, our products support fellow local growers and businesses that are making a difference in their communities. Woodstock Lavender Co. products are rooted in heritage and crafted with care. They will make you feel good about you, and the world around you.
During lavender season, the farm is open for a short time to visitors to experience the beauty of the farm, cut lavender, visit with friends, and participate in classes.
