No pattern, no problem! 

In this beginner friendly class, you will learn how to draft a custom pattern for a full circle skirt. This simple technique is used to make many different types of skirts and dresses and a great way to start on your pattern-making journey.

Class supplies (bring if possible):

  • measuring tape for sewing
  • scissors
  • sharpened pencil and eraser
  • yardstick, t-square, or quilting ruler

 

Accessibility notes:

  • This class requires fine motor control to maneuver pencils, scissors, and rulers.
  • This class will be in the studios above Lex Center for Creative Reuse, which is up a set of outdoor stairs. An elevator is available, but it is best to let the shop know ahead of time so that someone who knows how to operate the elevator is available.

 

Note: This class will be canceled if fewer than 2 students sign up. Refunds will be provided if this happens.

 

 

Attn Stacey: This class is a pattern drafting class, no sewing machines are required, and each

participant will leave with a paper pattern at the end of class. Renee also put a second/taller

roll of brown paper aside for this. Also,
