Join us for a book launch and signing event with RJ (Rebecca Ann Jordan) on Saturday, August 31, from 4-6 pm.
This signing is a celebration of the successfully funded Kickstarter campaign. Missed out? Never fear--books will be available for purchase at the signing! Any books purchased at this event 100% go to support Push/Pull, an employee coop art supply store, print shop, and art studio. Help keep the DIY arts alive in this incredibly expensive city!
Draw Bugs! is a 24-page zine printed on Risograph by the author. All the originals are created by hand using illustration, stamps, sticker collage, and more. Each full-page spread features one of the eight orders of bugs that RJ teaches in their popular class, Draw Bugs!
In a way, this zine is the book version of that class. Filled with bug facts, the zine lays out the basic shapes for each of these types of bugs. You'll not only learn to draw bugs quickly and add your personal style to them; you'll also learn little details that will help you identify bugs in the wild.
RJ will be signing books and will also have their bug collection available for your perusal -- a can't miss for the bug lovers out there.
See you there to celebrate bugs!
