Description

Reduce your lawn and bring on the pollinators! Learn basic tips and tools to give your yard a beautiful facelift, increase its wildlife value, and reduce its ecological footprint. We’ll talk about how to assess your site and pick the right plants for your space, design principles that will help you craft an attractive and low-maintenance plan, and basic gardening and ecological landscaping practices to make your vision a reality. No gardening experience is required.

This course is taught by Anna McLafferty, owner-operator of Hothouse Horticulture, a small ecological landscape design-build company based in the Como/North End neighborhood. Her business specializes in native gardens and hardscapes using locally sourced stone.
