Description
Annette Corsino's viral Emotional Support Chicken has taken the knitting world by storm, and now's your chance to get in on the fun. In this two week class we'll cover all the skills you need to make the fowl friend of your dreams. Covered techniques include knitting short rows, grafting two pieces of knitting, picking up stitches, seaming in garter stitch, and sewing embellishments.
Materials: Your class fee includes instruction, a copy of the Emotional Support Chicken pattern, scrap yarn for embellishments (including the beak, comb, and wattle), a pair of safety eyes, and stuffing. Students will also need to purchase 200 yards of medium weight (4) yarn in their main color, 100 yards of medium weight (4) yarn in a contrast color at the first class meeting. Prices vary depending on your selection. You will also need to bring a set of US 7 (4.5mm) knitting needles, a tapestry needle, and an optional 4.5mm crochet hook.
While our group classes are open to students aged 7 and up, we ask that all children under 14 be accompanied by a responsible adult on the premises for the duration of class.
Please note that registration fees are non-refundable. Transfer may be available to another session of the same class up to 24 hours before your scheduled start time. While we make every effort to accommodate emergency changes in your schedule, we cannot guarantee availability in other class sessions or make-up instruction beyond the scheduled office hours announced in class.
