In honor of the Fan Dancer exhibit at the American Burlesque Collection this month, we're offering three fan dance workshops in May! Take just one class, two or all three!
Cost is Pay-What-You-Can with a $5 minimum. We are suggesting $15 per class or $40 for all 3.*
In Fan Dance Technique, you will learn how to hold fans and classic fan dance moves, poses, and transitions. You will need a pair of fans, preferably feather. Please wear clothes that make you feel comfortable. This class is taught on Zoom.
In Fan Dance Routine, you will learn a burlesque choreography that uses classic fan dance techniques. You will need a pair of fans, preferably feather. Please wear clothes that make you feel comfortable. This class is taught on Zoom.
In Fan Dance History, we will explore famous fan dancers of the past and present and some art and artifacts inspired by the iconic image of the fan dancer, This class is taught in person at The American Burlesque Collection in Salem and virtually on Zoom. *In-person ticket price includes museum admission.
