New Tour!  Farm to Table: From County Fields to the Farmer’s Market 

Troy’s location on the banks of the Hudson was advantageous to ship agricultural products
west on the Erie Canal and south to NYC. This tour will visit sites including the 4 public markets and the
many businesses that worked with farmers throughout the county to supply them with agricultural tools,
and warehouses to store grain and other farm products. 

  • Please Note:
  • This walking tour begins in front of the Arts Center of the Capital Region located  at 265 RIver St., Troy, and ends at the Hart Cluett Museum at 57 2nd St., Troy
  • New! Admission to the museum is now included in the cost of the walking tours. Tickets are $20 per person/$15 HCM Members. Children age 17 and under free.
  • Tours take place rain or shine. The tour experience includes walking several blocks on city streets with uneven sidewalks. Walking shoes and weather-appropriate attire are advised.
  • The Hart Cluett Museum provides all walking tour participants with headsets, allowing each visitor to listen to the tour guide’s commentary while also ensuring everyone’s safety in accordance with NYS regulations regarding COVID-19. Please note that while you may use or bring your own earpieces/earbuds, single use ear pieces will also be provided by the Hart Cluett Museum at time of tour.
  • Face masks are optional, but recommended during all in person, indoor HCM events.

Cancellation Policy as of April 1, 2022:

Ticketed tours and programs:

 Refunds or exchanges must be requested no fewer than 7 days prior to the program date.  A $4 processing fee will be charged for refunds. If HCM cancels a tour or program, a full refund will be issued.
