Description

A series of 4 Wednesdays: March 12, 19, 26, and April 2

3:00pm-4:00pm

Please join us in-person at FamilyMeans for this four-part series of 60-minute sessions where we will spend time using a variety of art materials for an open-ended, creative exploration in the areas of grief, loss, and belonging. Experiencing loss can be isolating, but it’s also a shared human experience that we can all connect with. For current FamilyMeans’ caregivers. No previous art experience or artistic skill is needed to participate in this group.

These groups are offered free of charge as part of a grant thanks to the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council that includes the Center for Grief and Loss and two other FamilyMeans locations. This group will include individual and collaborative art-making experiences that will yield at least two pieces that you will take home, one piece that we would like to display and then return to you for a culminating exhibition, and one piece that will be collaborative that will also be included in the exhibition and then permanently installed at a FamilyMeans location. You will be notified and invited to attend when more information about the exhibition that is anticipated to take place in the Spring is available.

**PLEASE NOTE: This is a 4-part series. The date on this page only references the first date of series. Dates are listed above.
