The Brighton & Hove Food Partnership's Community Kitchen is a cookery school where everyone can cook, learn new skills and enjoy food with others. We want everyone to experience the benefits of cooking and eating together. By paying for a cookery class, you help other people to attend cookery activities, regardless of finance, confidence or ability, and to make lasting changes to their lives.
Description
In this class Chef Eloise Moore helps you develop your confidence in selecting and cooking with seasonal, sustainable fish.
The menu typically includes:
- Citrus Ceviche with pickled shallots
- Pan fried sea bass/bream with a mussel vierge sauce and pea shoot garnish
You will practise filleting and frying your round fish, learn a range of knife skills alongside a classic, versatile sauce recipe. At the end of this class, you’ll have a wealth of seafood knowhow and some important techniques under your belt.
Note that local availability will determine the seafood used on the day.
Dietary information: The menu for this class is dairy-free and gluten-free, however, please note that we cannot guarantee the kitchen is a fully gluten-free environment. For any other allergies or dietary requirements, please contact us to discuss before booking.
"The class was informative, entertaining and fun. Enjoyed learning to fillet a fish for the first time." "Will now try fish filleting and boning at home, will make all the recipes again."
