Instructor biography: I fell in love with Viksdal in 2016 on the Vesterheim Folk Art Tour to Norway. The Eldal Family gave a wonderful lesson on rosemaling and woodturning followed by a delicious Wedding Feast. I was fortunate to return to Marit Eldal for 2 wonderful days of painting in May 2023 which prompted me to teach my first Zoom class with Rosemaling Coast to Coast. I started rosemaling in 2010 and immediately connected with my Norwegian background. While living near Plano, Texas, the “Uffda Rosemalers” welcomed me and taught me how to paint. This led to wonderful workshops taught by Trudy Peach, Ken Magnuson, Nancy Schmidt, Patti Goke and others. I wish I could take the same classes again to learn even more. My goal in Rosemaling is to learn something new each time I paint. My Rosemaling motto: I am only as good as I am at that moment, but I am better than yesterday and will be better tomorrow!
Location: This is an online class hosted on Zoom. All technical requirements needed to join the class are the responsibility of the student. RCC virtual classes will not be recorded. All classes are listed in the Central time zone.
