Unlike a public park, a botanical garden is a concentration of exquisitely maintained natural beauty. The Queen Creek Botanical Gardens goes a step beyond as a fully functional, edible landscape, a sacred garden, and an event venue. It is a place where visitors and patrons may quietly enjoy, reflect, and appreciate the relaxation-inducing gardens, a tradition that holds both ancient significance as well as spiritual renewal for many. Garden rules are here to protect, honor, and respect these traditions and values for all who enter. Any patron found violating the following rules may be asked to leave and/or escorted from the Gardens.
RULES OF THE GARDENS
STAY ON THE PATHS: DO NOT climb trees, sit on rocks, or enter the waterfall/vegetation areas. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. DO NOT pick flowers, herbs, or other plants unless specifically permitted to do so as part of a guided class, workshop, or volunteer event of which you are an authorized member.
NO UNAUTHORIZED PHOTOGRAPHY: Amateur photographers and garden guests are welcome to shoot photos throughout the Gardens for their personal use and enjoyment, rather than for commercial or gallery use. All other photo sessions require a reservation with the Gardens staff, and fees are charged.
NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK: Because we grow food in a particular organic and sustainable way, outside food not only can harm our growing ecosystems, but can also create undue problems for the sustainable flow of garden operations. Please leave food and beverages (except your personal bottled water) outside the Gardens.
NO PETS: Pets, with exception of registered service animals, are strictly prohibited in the Gardens as they pose a significant health risk to the edible produce grown on-site.
KEEP IT TRANQUIL: To maintain the quiet reverence and serenity of the Gardens for all, please refrain from using loud voices, shouting, or running.
DO NOT PICK OR EAT THE PLANTS: For the safety and health of our patrons and to preserve and protect the production in the gardens, in all its forms, harvesting and/or tasting is strictly prohibited unless expressly permitted and supervised by QCBG staff. Please register for a guided tour, field trip, harvesting event, or foraging experience to taste the beauty of the gardens. Produce from the garden is also available for purchase through the CSA Subscription Box and at the Farm Stand.
DON'T DRINK THE WATER: Water from sprinklers and the rivers/lake is regenerative and has been naturally formulated for plants, not for people. Drinkable water is available in the reception area and at the bathrooms.
