The Brighton & Hove Food Partnership's Community Kitchen is a cookery school where everyone can cook, learn new skills and enjoy food with others. We want everyone to experience the benefits of cooking and eating together. By paying for a cookery class, you help other people to attend cookery activities, regardless of finance, confidence or ability, and to make lasting changes to their lives.
Description
Emma has made it her mission to ensure that those with gluten-free diets and sensitive guts can have their favourite baked treats.
In this class, Emma will share the tips and techniques behind successful gluten-free Baking and Pastry. She’ll reveal how to make delicious choux pastry and buttery and crumbly shortcrust pastry as well as two decadent cream fillings.
By the end of the class you will takeaway:
- Fruit-filled crème patisserie tart- A delicious shortcrust pastry, filled with vanilla crème patisserie and decorated with seasonal fruit.
- Sweet choux buns- Learn how to make delicious and light choux pastry.
Dietary information: The menu for this class is gluten-free, but please note we cannot guarantee the kitchen is a fully gluten-free environment. We can adapt the menu for dairy-free diets, but this must be specified when booking. For any other allergies or dietary requirements, please contact us to discuss before booking.
