Immerse yourself in a meditative journey inspired by Calida Rawles’ powerful exhibition, Away with the Tides. This unique offering blends guided meditation with the healing vibrations of sound, inviting participants to connect deeply with the themes of water, healing, and resilience woven throughout Rawles’ work.
Set in the inspiring space of the Brooks Museum of Art, this session uses live vocal toning, sound bowls, and instruments tuned to 432 Hz to create a harmonious environment. Through visualization and stillness, we’ll reflect on water as both a witness to history and a source of physical and spiritual renewal. Just as Rawles reimagines water as a character in her paintings, this experience will guide you to explore your own relationship with water—its ability to hold trauma, foster healing, and symbolize liberation.
